Allen, I am also a Meares descendant and I am searching for burial places of my ancestors in Bladen. In particular I am searching for Jesse Meares and his wife. He was in the 1800 Census, but not the 1810. His son Moses was born circa 1805 (in the 1850 Robeson Census he gives his age as 45. I feel that Jesse and wife died in Bladen between 1805-1810. Other than that one census entry for Jesse I can find no other proof that he existed. Could you please check your Bladen cemetery book for the Meares/Mears? Thanks so much! Barb
