The area referenced in the 1800 census may be the Brown Marsh area of Bladen County. I am also a descendant of this Lewis line. I have often wondered if a male descendant in Bladen/Columbus Cty. of this line had submitted DNA for testing. Does anyone know??? Someone at the Bladen County Historical Society or the Bladenboro Historical Society such as Sam Pait or Sam West should be able to help. I am also a descendant of Josiah Lewis and Ann Mullington thru Lucy Lewis and James Shipman.....and a male, I might add......lol.
