There is a lady , Thelma Peters I believe who has suggested before that Elias and Elizabeth Ezzell Sutton were the parents of my Mary Elizabeth Sutton, born Sept 2, 1811 either in Bladen or Sampson. She married William Cromartie on Jan. 14, 1830 in Bladen Co. They moved to Alabama and she died on Sept.27, 1891 in Monroe County, Alabama. I don't have any dates of birth or marraige or death for her parents or sisters or brothers. If you have some of the info, I'd love to have it. Robert, I haven't searched for your branch of the Sutton family but there is a very large site you can Google which is titled "The Sutton Family" which has a huge listing of Sutton lines. I was able to trace my line back to England on this site. Of course I cannot remember all the names but there was one line of the family which moved from NJ to NC about the time of the witch trials. The names you mention seem familiar but they are found often in the Sutton family. Good luck in your search. I'd like to hear about your findings.
