Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Sort of a frantic year: older son switched from the Navy to the Army Reserves (after 17 years - 4 years active duty), moved to Hickory, NC to teach at the high school and build a house on the lake, but was called up for Iraq, got married and left for Tikrit; younger son got married at The Greystone Inn on Lake Toxaway, NC and had a baby; daughter in Seattle bought a house and a horse (equally expensive); 2 rotator cuff surgeries for me; Bob retired from the law firm then unretired and a 2 year renovation was finished - a lot going on but actually not many requests for look-ups. Notice that both sons (seventh generation Atlantans) have an affinity for North Carolina! (this sounds like a Christmas letter!) Goodness, I'd wondered where you were......now I'm glad I didn't ask! <g> What a busy year you've had, Dee......hope this New Year will find things a bit more calm for you (if you'd like) but being you're a new Grandma somehow I don't think so! Hope the new granddau was named for you, bet the wedding at Greystone was glorious - will be saying even more prayers & sending thoughts to you all w/a son in Tikrit - & on the horse versus the mortgage - will take the mortgage (had 2 daus who each had horses, so eventually the mortgage goes down in interest, but NOT the horses (feed, hay, vet bill's, horse vaccines, etc..... but it was fun! Also hoping the surgeries you've had have done the trick & no more is needed - husb's health to be good, enjoying his work again & how great it is to "see" your smiling face here once more!!!!!!!!!
