Ferebe Jane married Moses w. Grimes who is also listed as Thomas Graham, on Nov. 23, 1853. I don't understand the name change but it answers why my great uncle couldn't go any further back. He worked decades on the Townsend family into which Ferebe's granddaughter Ola Jane Harris married (she was Febere's dtr Galva Dora's dtr.). There's more to tell but I'm new at this and don't know the rules so please be patient as I am willing to share everything I have. In the 1860 Alabama census Thomas Graham is listed with his father, James W. Grimes but I didn't find the others. In the 1870 FL census he's already remarried. He remarried again after that. The family is heavy in Hernando Cty. history (which is now Citrus, Hernando and Pasco Cty's)and Ferebe isn't listed, having died approximately in 1865 or 66 as Galva Dora was born in 1856 or 57 and she was 9 when her mom died. Ferebe is buried in an Indian mound in Istachatta on the way to New Hope. Please let me know how best to present info and what you're interested in. There is no paper obit that we know of and the family bible was eaten by a goat so it's been a hard search. Thanks for writing and I hope to hear back soon. Maggie
