Donald W. Edge Sr. WILMINGTON - Donald W. Edge Sr., of Wilmington, formerly of Fayetteville, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, in Wilmington. He was born Nov. 29, 1932 in Fayetteville. He was the owner and president of Blown-Rite Insulation Co., which he founded more than 41 years ago. He also served as a special deputy under Sheriff Ottis Jones for several years. Mr. Edge is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betty Edge; four sons, Donnie Edge Jr. and Todd Edge, both of Fayetteville, Stephen Boomer of Wilmington and Kenneth Boomer of Surf Side, S.C.; five daughters, Barbara O'Sullivan of Raleigh, Martha DeGlandon of Buda, Texas, Suzanne Edge of Fayetteville, Marcia Carrothers of Fayetteville, and Lacy Phillips of Wilmington; three sisters, Rachel Kinlaw, Agnes Wayman and Margaret Bullard, all of Fayetteville; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Edge was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a daughter. Visitation will be held tonigh from 6 to 9 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy in Stedman by the Rev. Jeff Burkhardt and the Rev. Craig Autry. Burial will follow in the Carter-Edge Cemetery.
