I just got back in town so this is late. Those of you that have gotten the Bladen County Books put out by the Bladen Historical Society may have gotten them from Lib Turner. She died last Friday, September 30, 2005, at New Hanover Hospital. A complication of Diabetes according to my mother. She was very active in many of the history organizations in Bladen County. She worked for 40 years at the local hospital as head of the lab. Both my mother and I worked with her over the years there. I have felt that in a lot of ways Lib took over where Wanda Campbell left off when Wanda died. They both tried to preserve Bladen History. The Obit can be found at www.Bladenjournal.com.
