    3. Hi Dr. Kohlmann, I am including some lookups from the List's archives. There are many more when you have the time to search for them. This is a popular family and a partial list of researches can be found in the archives although I cannot vouch for the email addresses after all this time.I have never seen nor heard of any authenticated data regarding the parents ofeither Allan or Mary. When you have gotten everything from the archives contact me again and let me know what else you need. The archives can be accessed by clicking on the link below my name and scrolling down to mailing list, click on that and then click on Search. Next fill in the name and check for each year.Dee======================================================================== Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2000 23:48:57 -0400 From: "Dee Thompson" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [NCBLADEN-L] Re: [NCCUMBER] To Dee Thompson Ok, Gary, lets muddle through this. For starters he and Mary were both born and reared in Auchternichity, Scotland. In 1791, Allen, with his three sons, Archie, Dougald, and James, left for America and landed in Wilmington, NC in August of that year. He had a daughter Margaret, who married a McLaughlin and stayed in Scotland. A daughter, Nancy, was born on Baker's Creek in Bladen County where the family settled in 1792. Nancy married Daniel Cameron and had no children. There was another child born there but that one died in infancy. There is a wonderful story in the Bladen Heritage Book about the burial of this child. I sound really brilliant don't I? WRONG. This is all in a book about the Camerons, - A SENSE OF PAST, Volume 1, The Camerons, compiled by Andrea Hickman White, 1976. I will be glad to make a copy for you and mail it if you will send me your postal address. Now wasn't that fun? Dee P.S. I know that both Allen and Mary died at home and I imagine that they are buried on Cameron Hill in Harnett County. Could you offer any advice on how I might find any information about where they lived or where they might be buried? Thank you for your consideration.
