Fran....Sharon, My records indicate Charles Butler (1795 - 1865), born in Sampson and son of Robert Butler and Elizabeth Williams. Charles died in Decatur, GA. His sister Molcy (1811 - 1887) also b. Sampson, d. Decatur. This Charles' son, Charles 1826 - 1884 was born in Sampson, married in Sampson Rebecca Underwood 1802 - 1865. Their first two children born in Sampson (1824 & 1826) and the next born 1829 in Decatur, GA .
