They married in Bladen County in 1849 and later moved to Sampson County. the father of Andrew Jackson McGee was John McGee, a surveyor and his wife was Sarah Elizabeth Bryant (b) 1905. It is thought....but no proof...that John McGee was born in Ireland and came to Bladen County when he was a boy of 12. I would like to know if others are related to this family or have any information on the McGee and Bryant families of Bladen County, NC as mentioned above. Has anyone traced this McGee family back to Ireland or Scotland...and if so....where? I understand there were four John McGee's from the Bladen County area. Any information on the above would be appreciated. Photo and info on the family is attached. Thank you, Peggy Warren Longmire of Greensboro, NC Great Grand daughter of Andrew Jackson McGee and Emma Elizabeth Bryant RLongmire@triad.rr.com
