    3. Hi Carolyn, I have a reference to her in my own THOMPSON file. She was shown as a witness to the nuncupative Will of William Thompson in Duplin County. The Will was written on June 9th, 1785 and filed June 11th. The other witnesses were John Thompson and Barsheba Thompson. Thompson is spelled Thomason, Thomson & Thompson. William Thompson names his sons, John (Carter) Thompson and Benjamin Thompson, and daughter Barsheba Thompson. Also named were grandsons Ezekial Carter and Lawrence Thomas. I have no idea why his wife, Elizabeth wasn't named as she was still living. That is the only female Winifred/Winifird shown in the Duplin Wills Book. A little background which may or may not help. This couples son-in-law John Brown Stephens/Stevens was from Bladen Co. and had ties in Robeson. John B married the daughter (Mary L. Roberts Cole) of Winifred in Natchez, Miss. Dist. 1813. I appreciate your time in doing look ups as I do them for Adams Co., Miss. Thanks, Carolyn Martin Cole
