" Executive Department Friday 23d March 1810 On application ORDERED That a passport be prepared for Mr. Henry Thomas of Bladen County, State of North Carolina with his wife and five children to travel through the Creek Nation of Indians Which was presented and signed # 528 Executive Department Wednesday 3d April 1811 On application ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel through the Creek Nation of Indians, to wit, One for Mr. John McGaskey with his wife three children and twelve negroes from Marion County North Carolina - and one for Mr. Zachariah Murrell, with his wife three children and two negroes, and his mother in law with one child, all from Bladen County North Carolina Which were presented and signed # 688 Executive Department Wednesday 10th April 1811 On application ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel thro the Creek Nation of Indains (sic), to wit, One for Messrs. Nathaniel A. Ware, Abner S. Lipscomb, and Billups Gale all from Abbeville district South Carolina - One for Messrs. Jonathan and James Thomas, the former with his wife and four children and the latter with his wife and three children and their mother all from Bladen County North Carolina & one for Messrs. William and W. Whitfield with a negro boy, the former from Dauphin and the latter from Wayne County North Carolina Which were severally presented and signed. # 691 Executive Department Tuesday 1st June 1813 On application ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel through the Indian Nations to the Western Country, viz. One for Mr. Samuel Andrews from Bladen County in the State of North Carolina, and one for Mr. William Treadwell with his mother, his Sister, and a negro fellow Which were presented and signed # 821 NOTES AND REFERENCES TO PAGES 270-286 691. Ibid, p. 82. Henry Thomas of Bladen County, North Carolina, had already obtained a passport for he and his family to travel west. Jonathan Thomas was living near a Margaret Thomas, head of household, aged over 45, in the 1800 Bladen County, North Carolina, Census. This could be the Mother mentioned in the passport application.
