    3. Hi Ida, >From # 192 paraphrased: Rev. Thomas Hardie performed a marriage on 4 November 1805. Charlotte County Marriage Records, page 371. It's pathetic that I can't find more than this. I am researching my ancestor Rev. Thomas HARDIE/HARDY. He became a Methodist minister in 1787 and rode a circuit in the Bladen district. He rode on the VA-NC line, so I have found his name as minister for marriages in both NC and VA. He joined with Rev. James O'KELLY in 1792 to protest the treatment of the Methodist circuit riders (they had no choice of assignments, had killing hardships--life expectancy was short) and they formed the Methodist Republican Church--name dropped and Christian Church formed. Rev. HARDIE died in 1806--I believe in Mecklenburg Co VA. ANYHOW---- would you check these books for any notation about my REV. THOMAS HARDIE/HARDY #8--Marriages in NC #11--wills #66--deaths in NC #95--wills 101--loose papers 184--marriages any other books that might list ministers in the period 1787-1806, or list the death Thank you so much for your time.
