Dee, could you check The Georgia Black Book for any thing on John B. Childers. He supposedly stabbed to death a man named Elijah Jerrell/Jarrell in Greene Co., Georgia, in summer of 1835(?). John was sentenced to hang but was pardoned by the Governor in Sept., just 4 days before he was to be hung. Thank you so much. Wanda
