    2. Hi Keith, Yes, I am certain that Dolly Pitman was the first wife of Edward J. Davis. They married January 4, 1865 in Robeson County. They were divorced in 1795 and Edward J. married Elizabeth Ann Freeman. Dolly in buried in the cemetery next to her father's house in Robeson County. I am sure that you know that Issac Davis born 1805 was born in North Carolina. There was another Issac Davis born 1805 in Union County, South Carolina. I talked with one of his descendants and sent me a list of that Issac's children. It was not our Isaac Davis. One of William Ross's daughters wrote a letter in which she said that Sampson Davis, the Revolutionary soldier was the grandfather of Isaad. If this is wrong I would love to know about it. Could you send me your information of how Isaac is the son of Vincent. We have not been able to find the father of any siblings for Isaac. Looking forward to hearing from you. Margie
