    3. Janet, I can only find Maximin Clastrier. From # 526 Clastrier, Maximin He arrived in Beaufort from France during 1778 and became a merchant. After volunteering to serve in a corps of artillery, he served in this unit until Clinton laid siege to Charleston. At that time, Lincoln ordered all Frenchmen to enroll under the Marquis of Brittany. In this capacity, he served to defend Charleston. He was taken prisoner at the fall of Charleston and held fourteen months. A.A.1273 1/2.
