Hello Rana and Rick: I have checked all my Bladen James WEST records and found nothing of a marriage between Elizabeth Robson/Robeson/Robinson and James WEST of any year. In 1830 there were in Bladen about three, maybe four WEST men named James. Excepting James of Bladen who was born ca 1753, spouses of the other James WEST men have been identified. I will add that a correspondent sent to me record of a marriage between a James WEST of Lincoln County and Elizabeth ROBESON of that same county. The correspondent did not cite her source, nor did she cite the year of the marriage, but the names are the same/similar. Unless you are 100% positive the marriage record you seek occurred in Bladen County, North Carolina, perhaps locating that marriage record would be worthwhile? Regrets I am unable to provide further help. Fran
Hi List, Would some kind list member be so kind as to do a lookup for me on the KELLAM ( Kellum - Cillam-Cillom-Killom) family of Cumberland Co. NC c. 1783. Please cite the reference if you should locate them. I am a descendant of Seth KELLAM who lived in the county at that time of the Revolutionary War era. Thank you so much, GA Bren

Ms. West: Ms. Dee Thompson referred us to you, so I am using this forum as means to contact you. We are trying to prove/disprove our Elizabeth Robson or Robeson or Robinson married a James West in NC about 1830. Any information you have, or any sources you might have will be appreciated. In case you did not yet read yesterday's Bladen list posting, Ms. Dee looked up the matter in eight or ten of her books. Respectfully, Rick and Rana

We appreciate the time it takes to do lookups. We are working with Robeson/Robinson family members but maybe a West researcher will see this and contact us. Thanks again. Hi, I saw the posting for the CSA Marker for William Dallas King (1846-1927), and also checked out that family's website. My comments and question: Theophilus Wilkins, born about 1810, lived just over the line in eastern Robeson Co NC. He was married to Nancy King of Bladen Co NC, and they lived over in Bladen for a few years. They moved back to eastern Robeson Co NC, and then eventually to Johnston Co NC where they died. My question: Was this Nancy King Wilkins of Bladen, Robeson & Johnston Co NC connected in some way to William Dallas King of Bladen Co NC??? Thanks, Sam West
Hi Scott, That was a well-done lookup request! There is nothing in the two books you asked for, though one is actually a hand-written manuscript. There were FIVE William Scotts in the area at the same time so it is impossible for me to determine if this pertains to YOUR William.
