Isaac Jones and Elizabeth Cox were from the Cane Creek Meeting of Quakers. They had these children: Evan, 1762; Mariam, 1764; Ruth, 1768; Jesse, 1770; William, 1773; Isaiah, 1775; Isaac, 1776; Arron, 1779; and twins, Micajah and Hannah, 1783. There are several given names in this line that were passed down to the children of Jesse Jones who migrated to Ripley Co, Indiana: William; Isaiah; Jesse. I think it behoOves us to look at both lines of Jones. I believe they are all connected; but, neither line has been absolutely proven to be the line of Jesse Jones who migrated first to Ripley Co, IN and then to Randolph Co, AR. I was asked a question today maybe some of you might have run across. In the late 1920's to 30's when highway 53 through Kelly was paved and actually became the main road through that area there was an old grave moved from the roadway presumably to the Bush cemetery. It was a man. Anyone know who it might have been? Someone needs this info for a College paper. Prior to then the main road went from about Lisbon township in Sampson county along hwy 210 then across Colly swamp from rowan to Lagoon then on across the Cape Fear to Lisbon in Bladen county.
