    2. Hi Dee how about anything on the Cheshire's Like Ruth Cheshire b: Sept. 9th 1852 d. Sept 9th, 1884 she married Owen Carroll, jr. Or her family. IM starting to think maybe Owen "the first one," could have been his middle name because the name John or Johnny comes up allot in the family and there was a John Carroll in the 1790 census what do you think?

    3. Hi Dee, Hopefully this is my last request :-) Whole different family...aren't you all glad??? John Fiveash (Revolutionary Soldier) was born 1760 in NC, a son of John Fiveash (born about 1719) and Mourning Barnes (born after 1716 in Va) The family moved from Albemarle Parrish, NC to Bladen Co. during the 1760's. Research shows that John Fiveash (born 1760) left NC and moved to Tattnall Co., Georgia prior to 1814; he died in Tattnall Co., Ga in 1831. We believe his parents, John and Mourning Barnes Fiveash, stayed in NC after John moved on into Georgia. There are several land deeds involving the elder John Fiveash (after son John moved to Georgia); these deeds appear in Bladen, Perquimans and Robeson counties. There is some debate about the wife of John Fiveash (born 1760). There is some evidence that her first name was Jean; surname unknown. Mourning Barnes is a daughter of Edward Barnes and Sarah Pope of Nansemond Co., Va. We believe John Fiveash (born abt 1719) is a son of ? Fiveash and Phyllis Fort of Isle of Wight, Va. Any information on these families would be most appreciated :-) Thank you! Nancy Evans Parr

    3. Hi Dee, This is the last inquire concerning my Evans family :-) I have another set but will send that separately. Benjamin Evans and Sarah Benson Evans had two daughters who married into the Pridgen families of Bladen Co. It is these families that I am inquring about in this post. A- Laura Evans, born about 1860 Kelly; died 1945 in Kelly. She. married Jefferson Davis Pridgen, born 1860 Kelly; died 1932 in Kelly. They had 10 children all of whom were born in Kelly. Jefferson Davis Pridgen is a son of Peter H Pridgen and Catherine J 'Katie' Allen. (Trying to find the parents of Peter H Pridgen). Catherine J 'Katie' Allen was a daughter of James H Allen, Sr and first wife Mary Polly Kelly. Jefferson Davis Pridgen died of stomach cancer; he and wife Laura are buried in Garden of Memories Cemetery Kelly, NC. B- Sarah Catherine Evans born 2-10-1869 in Kelly; died 12-31-1924 Pender Co., NC. She married James Lafayette 'Tate' Pridgen born 10-13-1862 in Kelly; died 7-24-1931 Pender Co., NC They had 9 children, all of which were born in Kelly. Records indicate that Tate and Sarah Catherine Pridgen are buried on their farm in Pender Co., NC. James Lafayette 'Tate' Pridgen is brother to the above Jefferson Davis Pridgen. Thanks, Nancy Evans Parr

    3. Hi Dee, It's me again. Here's the next set of surnames. They 'stem' from the previous Evans family. It is my belief/opinion that the elder Benjamin Evans, in the previous post, had a brother named James Evans who was born about 1775 in Bladen Co. At this time I don't have any further information on James Evans. However, he had two daughters who married into the Allen family of Bladen Co. These families are who I am inquiring about in this post. A- Julia Amanda 'Betsy' Evans, born about 1815 in Kelly, was the second wife of James H Allen, Sr. He was first married to Mary Polly Kelly. He married Betsy Evans before 1835. James H Allen Sr was born in Moore Co., NC about 1790 and died in Kelly about 1869. I am desperately trying to find his parents. Betsy and James H Allen Sr had 7 or 8 children, all born in Kelly. B- Mary Amanda Evans, born 1826 in Kelly; died 12-13-1889 in Kelly. She was married to James H 'Jones' Allen, Jr. who was a son of the above James H Allen Sr and his first wife Mary Polly Kelly. 'Jones' Allen was born 3-1-1825 in Kelly; died 5-3-1903 in Kelly. Jones and Mary Amanda Allen had 10 children, all of which were born in Kelly. Thanks :-) Nancy Evans Parr

    3. Hello Dee, What a wonderful offer :-) I have numerous families from the Bladen Co., NC area so will send them in seperately. Here goes with the first set of surnames. Benjamin Evans, born about 1774, married Unknown. He lived all his life in Bladen Co from what my research has revealed to date. He appears on the 1850 census without a wife (we assume she had died prior to the taking of that census); children are Benjamin age 34, James age 32 and William age 30. We believe he, the elder Benjamin Evans, died after 1880 in Bladen Co. Next is his son, Benjamin Evans, born 1816 in Bladen Co. He married Sarah Benson, daughter of Aaron and Elizabeth Benson. Benjamin and Elizabeth were married in Bladen Co. This family appears on the 1860 census with wife Sarah and child Laura M age 5 months. We believe Benjamin died between 1871-1880; Sarah died between 1895-1899; both in Bladen Co. My research findings all show that these Evans families lived in the Kelly area of Bladen Co. I am trying desperately to find the name of the elder Benjamin Evans' wife. Thank you :-) Nancy Evans Parr
