I presently live in the Princess Ann community near Orrum, N.C. I grew up in the Smiths community across from Zion's Hill Church. I would be very grateful for any information you will give me. My father was Elbert Sessoms, his father was John Alexander (Sandy) Sessoms, son of John (Jack) William Sessoms a son of Rev. Robert Melvin Sessoms. I do not know the names of R.M.'s other children. As for the parents of R.M., I do not know. Ms. Doris Johnson who spoke at Hickory Grove on R.M. thinks he may have been from New Bern. I hope that we can exchange infromation.

Hi Kim, We're sorta straddling the county line on this one. The Boneys were in Duplin and the Cromarties were in Bladen. I am looking for my 'colored' great-great grandparents Owen Cromartie and Armellia Boney(?). Could you also check Number 50 to see in they are listed in the slave index - if this book in similiar to Duplin - under Boney and Cromartie. It's hard to say how old they were (for time frame) because in 1870 census they are listed as 40 and 42 respectively. However, in 1880 they are 27 and 23! Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Hi to all ----- I have a Junk Mail and Virus Alert through my provider. It has been very helpful in that it stops all that from coming through. I also the Norton. I never open anything that I don't knowe about and especially attachments unless I know the person. My system picked up the virus (W32/Badtrans@MM) and an underscore "_" before my e-mail address. My computer is now swept clean of this virus. The way the virus appears to work is to scour the victim's in-box for addresses. Another creative "trick" it uses is to add an underscore "_" before the name of the victim who may not even know the virus is there. Check your e-mail address book to see if you have a NEW e-mail address for yourself with an underscore "_" before your e-mail address. This keeps virus scanners from automatically sending a warning email (as McAfeewill) because the mail will bounce back. McAfee will screen for the virus if you have the latest version (you can buy the lastest version on on-line at www.mcafee.com). I don't have Norton so I can't say if it will. Unfortunately the virus may multiply without needing to open the message or the file by using the preview window in Outlook. So the rules are the same: Use a virus scanner, use the latest version, don't open attachments from people you don't know, be patient with the senders as they may not even know what they did.
