Thank you, Dee. Just made my day. Brings up more questions, as does all new info. John B. said in these records to be born in GA., where in 1850 & 1860 census both show him born in VA. Keith, I hate to but in. I was wondering if you are connected to the Davis family of Bladen County that contained Anna Sophia Davis, daughter of William "Billy" Davis, son of William H. Davis. If so, I would love to share info on this family if you are willing. I have some to share, but I must admit it is not a whole lot. Anna was my 3rd great grandmother. Hi Dee, Thanks for the reply... Yes, I have the same problem....My Gt. Grandmother, Viola, is truly buried in the Shipman Cemetery, but my Gt. Aunt (not my Gt. Grandmother as I stated in the earlier email) stated in her letter that her grandfather Elias died in 1915 and was buried in Hobbs Cemetery "between Abbottsburg and Clarkton". I have searched the BCHS books and any other sources I could locate without any luck. She said there WAS a headstone.......wondering if it might have fallen or been removed?..... Well, I am glad Jason is so open minded. I have been on a couple of list that you could almost feel punches thrown on. I hate it when they get like that. I have always been very happy with this list though. They are all a very sharing supportive group. I am surprised that there is nothing on the Raeford Faircloth Cemetery. Do the books cover the Autryville, Clinton, and Salemburg areas? Autryville is the closest to the cemetery, but I would imagine it might show up with Clinton or Salemburg . I wonder if there are other books as well on the cemeteries? I have been told it was documented by John C. Rosser. Maybe that was wrong?
