Hi Butch, I know, - but Bill asked me for my # 135, which doesn't have the 1784 Tax List (it has 1775, 1776, 1778, 1779, 1786, 1787 and 1789). The only other Tax List I have is 1763. I have a copy of the 1784 Bladen County Census and William Bradford is listed on page 6 in Capt. Burn's District. He had 10 1/2 acres, 1 town lot, 1 white poll, and 5 black polls. There are lots of John Smiths in the land records, some of which are available on line. Do you have more data on your John? (Dates, places, etc.) I know Arthur's descendants well but not his ancestry. Anything ring a bell? Do not know Thomas Smith. Arthur removed to SC c. 1802.
