Have just completed Harry Thompson's book 'Bertie Revisited' and recommend it highly. It took me back, again, in time to the days when my ancestors lived and breathed in Bertie and life may be tough for us in this time but it is still a piece of cake compared to what our 'folks' went thru in earlier times.
