Who was James Morris's wife? Bertie is and was loaded with Morris's and also Morriss's (they are the same people). I do have a number of Morris marriage dates from 1762-1868. As you know many Castellaws, Cobbs and others left Bertie for Haywood County, TN in the 1830-1840 time period. There is a James Morris listed in the will of Mathew Morriss on 6/5/1849. There was also a James S. Morriss in the will of Zadock Morriss on 8/15/1838. -----Original Message----- From: Reese Moses [mailto:reese@pchnet.com] Sent: Sunday, June 02, 2002 10:24 PM To: NCBERTIE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NCBERTIE] 1830 Bertie Co census - Morris Thank you Jim, for your response.
