I've also updated the main Census page over on the main Bertie County page.... I can't believe the wonderful progress that has been made. As you recall this all got started with a message to the list from Otelia Thompson!! Shows you the power of one!! She really was the person who got the teams organized, provided some with materials....and got the ball rolling. I've even used her example to get some counties in Georgia doing the very same thing. Inevitably I hear from these transcribers that they are benefiting themselves from the closer examination of the census they are working on. We've come a very long way....but there's still plenty of census left to do....so if you're willing to help just let me know, and I'll walk you through the steps on any census you want to work on!!
