Collie was married to Ola Arnette, they had 5 children>Eunice, Daisy,James Earl, Herbert Lee (Buck), & Collie Jr. Collie & Ola lived in Pasqutank Co. for many years & worked in the Cotton Mill for Years. Collie's mother was Julia (maiden name may be Phelps), his father was James White (I'm told James was murdered in or before 1905). Julia & James had another son>Will (I think he was there first child). After James died Julia married William D. Stroud in 1905 in Pasquotank Co. They had 5 children>Charlie Lee married Ruby, Oscar (he drowned in the Pasqotank River in the 1940's),Jack ( he hung himself in Pasquotank Co. jail), Abram he married Jane they had 2 kids Toby & Linda, & Jessie Mae she married Roy Boyce. >>>> I'm told Julia White Stroud was a licensed mid wife in Pasquotank Co. >> I'm told a former Elizabeth City policeman named Otah White was a relative. I ! think his father was Dave White cousin to to Collie. If anyone can help with info or connecting me to a family member it would be wonderful. Collie & Ola are my grand parents.
