William H. Rascoe was born about 1790 and died about September of 1842. He was a son of Peter Rascoe (b. 22 Oct. 1765, d. 23 Nov. 1843) and Ann Smithwick. He married Mary Mhoon before 1812. She was a daughter of John Mhoon and Mary unknown. William H. Rascoe was a member of the North Carolina house of Commons in 1824 and 1825 representing Bertie County togather with James G. Mhoon who may have been a broth-in-law to William H. Rascoe. William H. Rascoe and Mary Mhoon had three known children: 1. Mary Ann Rascoe born about 1812, died 9 Feb. 1855, married Francis Richard Pugh December 18, 1828. 2. John Peter Rascoe born December 29, 1813, died May 5, 1888. Married Martha M. Bond about 1838. 3. William Martha Rascoe born March 1, 1818, died March 1, 1837. Married George Gray. Does anyone know the exact dates of the births and deaths of William H. Rascoe and his wife Mary Mhoon?
