I have a Bertie Co record 1789, of the Sale of the Estate of Dr. Robt Lenox (Conehoe in Martin Co) either to James Wilson & James L. Wilson from Loose Estate Papers 1788-1800. I know that Dr. Robt Lenox was an early physician in Bertie Co. and so I'm sure that is the reason it is listed in Bertie Co. books. My original understanding is that the land was sold for the estate by the Wilsons. Martin Co had been formed only 5 years earlier from Halifax & Tyrell (1774) Does anyone have access to the estate records or deed records who could give me any information about Dr. Robt Lenox, his heirs and land holdings?
