    3. The only name I recognize here is the surname Cake. I saw two or three documents in the Martin County Clerk of Court's office with this surname. I can't remember if they were deeds or wills. I believe one of each. If I remember correctly the Cakes were associated with the family of William Williams for whom Williamston was named. It seems that I do remember there were no Cake sons in the documents, but there was a Cake daughter. I paid a little more attention to these documents than I normally would have, because I was looking for Clarks and thought at first that the Cake spelling could be an incorrect spelling of Clark. It was not. The Cake middle name as grantor in you deed could be the link to a tie amongst these people. Jo ROBERSON Prytherch

If you want, I can send you some other Wilson/Clark records I have picked up.
