Let's see what we can all share about this Republican community and school. This is what I have on-line: REPUBLICAN Located in west central Bertie where County Roads #1225 and #1227 join. It took its from the Republican Baptist Church (est 1828), and that name originated because the church building was used as a community center. It is noted on the Gilmer CSA maps.
