Dear Group, David MEADE lived in Nansemond. I have found him in a few records of the Parish. I believe Aaron ELLIS knew David MEADE. I believe Aaron ELLIS was somehow involved within the set up of Society Parish in Bertie, but I have not found any records to support this, except in the estate sale of Aaron ELLIS, money was paid to Lemuel REDDICK who was a Warden in Nansemond and collected money from people to take care of the poor within the Parish...sort of like the bonds in the Bastardy Bonds. John MORRIS was the father of Chappel Hill in Society Parish and at one time Aaron ELLIS gave the MORRIS name land right next door to his own land. Anyway, here is the verbatim copy of the original.
