Can anyone help us connect Grant Ruffin (African American) from Bertie County? Researcher: "ELLEN EDWARDS" joneka@worldnet.att.net Grant Ruffin was born in 1863, Bertie Co. -Lewiston or Kelford. His parents were John and Marinda(Mariah). Grant married Ann Flood from Suffolk ,VA in 1893, Northampton County. Ann was born in 1867. Her mother was Martha.; her siblings, Jesse, John, Pearlie. Grant moved to the Cedar Grove community in Halifax County in 1930 and died in Oct,1944. He was buried in old Saul's cemetary, near Parkers Chapel Church,Jackson. Daughter of Grant and Ann Married Lonnie Ellis somewhere around 1915-1918 also in Northampton Co. I do not know anything about him . I have been informed that Grant and Lonnie Ellis both were employed on the General Pat Ransom farm at one time. Virginia Crilley
