They came to the US I believe after that. A daughter called Elizabeth Speir married Bruce R. Leydig (07\26\1861). He was born in Muskingum Co., Ohio. Lived in Eldorado, Kansas (Butler County) and was a lawyer and member of the Republican State Legislature Judiciary Committee, City Attorney, etc. They were married I believe in 1888. Had three children: James Leydid, Newton; Robert Leydig of Huntsville, Alta. Marie Leydig born maybe in 1899 and married William Young Lathrop of California. I also have a Raymond Leydig mentioned who used to be a professor at Columbia Law School years ago. They had Elizabeth Jane Lathrop who married Lieutenant (Bob) Robert Andre Hunter on 10/08/1943 at Post Chapel, Roswell, New Mexico. They had Robert Hunter and Anne Lathrop Hunter (B 1944.Don't know how factual all of this is. Mary Reid was a sister to my gg grandfather, Charles Rei! d, who came to Nova Scotia, Canada from Scotland. There were other brothers and another sister, Janet.
