Capps of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and a Descendant of HARVEY CAPS/CAPPS b. btwn 1806 - 1812 and his son WILLIAM HENRY CAPPS who was born in Wayne County, NC in 1833-4. .We know Harvey lived in Wayne Co., before moving to Johnston County sometime before 1850. We believe Harvey had an older brother JEREMIAH CAPS who was listed in 1830 Wayne County Census beside Harvey, and perhaps a younger brother JOHN CAPS. I am trying to find the area where Harvey came from. Bertie, Hyde, Currituck etc... are all possibilities I came across your address in the Bertie County Gen Forum on Rootsweb.
