Oct. 14, 1845; m. Pernecy Adline Backus; d. April 26, 1939). I believe he was the son of Garrison (maybe Gerrison; Gearison) Askew (b. 1810). Garrison married Precilla Harrel on Oct. 8, 1850. I think that Precilla must have been a 2nd wife. It also appears that Garrison had two other children besides William Preston before he married Precilla. They are John (b. 1838) and Sarah (b. 1846). William Preston is the father of Abner Addison Askew (b. Feb. 8, 1873; m. Maggie Nelson; d. Jan. 28, 1928). Abner Addison is my mother's paternal grandfather. Do any of these names match up with anyone else's line? Does anyone have any information to confirm that Garrison was or was not William Preston's father?
