I kinda missed the beginning of this discussion but I took a look at the Rev War Pension database and found John Lafferty's Rev War Pension Application. Series: M805 Roll: 508 Image: 33 File: S42813 1. He did serve under Col Thomas Polk NC Continental line for three years, he enlisted June 10, 1776, was in the battle of Monmouth, discharged June 15, 1779 He was allowed Pension on his application executed May 13, 1818 at which time he was 64yo. 2. He moved to Tioga Co PA and was there in 1820 3. He moved to NY, he was there in 1821 in Freedom, Cattaraugus County NY. 4. He mentions one granddaughter living with him (Lucy Bruce age 4 years and "my Phebe age 57 and infirm like myself". The name Bruce is not clearly written and may be Brun or Breen. 5. No date of death of other family info is included. I can send you the images if you wish.
