He married Rebecca Stroud in Burke County NC. James was buried in Burke County NC. Their children were Drury b. 1769 Burke Co died 1838 -pretty sure Burke County unless he moved to Macon County with some of his children. Elisha b. 1770 Burke Co. died 1845 Forsyth County GA Matthew who married Elizabeth Bell William b. Burke Co. died Gilmer County GA married Mary Ann Dinsmore in Gillmer County Georgia. William was buried in Gilmer County GA. James Jr. b. 1762 Northampton Co.NC died 1834 Burke Co NC Levi This is probably not a complete list of their children and I have not gone through more of my paperwork to see if I can add to this. Will try to update at a later date if I come across more info. James was the son of Matthew b. 1702/3 and Sarah, whom I believe was probably Indian.
