Who were the ancestors of Jordon Parker. I am a descendent of James Parker via Amos Parker via Abraham of Gates Co (b:circa 1797, m: 1827, d: 1850) via Wiley Elbert (b: 1846, m: 1869, d: 1926) of Gates and later Bertie Co, via George T Parker, Sr. via George "Tom" Parker, Jr. Both of the latter lived in Bertie County. I have limited information on the James' and Amos' families; however, none of the limited information I have shows a son named Jordan. Any help would be appreciated. I have a Jordan Parker along with siblings Isaac and an "Anubet" who were cousins to my Lemuel Parker and family in Hotel P.O. (now Woodville) in 1850. (census) Isaac and the sons of Lemuel Parker were very close -- went to school together, fought in the war together, and Isaac had one of Lemuel's sons living with him as an invalid, near the end of his life. Have several websites, etc. Glad to share. ----- Original Message ----- From: Charles Parker<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 10:55 AM Subject: Re: [NCBERTIE] Parkers of Bertie Co Who were the ancestors of Jordon Parker. Also --- this Jordan's father's name was John Parker, b. 1796 of Bertie m. Esther b. 1805. John's father Luke was b. 1768 (Bertie) m. Anna Pierce. Luke's father was Matthew b. 1732. Then --- James b. 1692 m. Sarah b. 1708. Then George b. 1666 d. 1747 Macclesfield, Isle of Wight, Va. m. Martha b. 1669. Then Thomas b. 1629 d. 1685 Macclesfield, Isle of Wight, Va. Then, Thomas the Immigrant, b. 1600 or 1603 England. d. 1663 Isle of Wight, Macclesfield, Va. It's important in genealogy to "know thy neighbors" as well as "love them," right? (laughing) All this came from the Amos Parker website for NC -- you can Google it in! Best Wishes. ----- Original Message ----- From: Charles Parker<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 10:55 AM Subject: Re: [NCBERTIE] Parkers of Bertie Co Who were the ancestors of Jordon Parker.
