I don't know, but Barnhills from Bertie that came to Hopkins, Henderson and Webster Co KY have the middle name of Bird. In addition in the mid 1800's in my Holloman's from Bertie here in the same counties here in KY I have a Thomas Bird Holloman. If you find anything out I would like to see if I can make the connection to the Birds. Rhonda Stevens
Rhonda, I have Christopher C. Holloman, b. abt 1695, who m. Margaret Bird. Margaret was the dau. of Thomas Bird. This marraige info came to me from our fellow list member, Jim Holloman. Christopher's son Benjamin Holloman had son William Samuel Holloman, who had son William Harrison Holloman (b. Hertford Co., moved to KY 1803, area that later became Hopkins Co.). William Harrison Holloman had son Thomas Byrd Holloman, who died young, according to Greta Holloman (now deceased). Is this the same Thomas Bird Holloman that you have? Another son of William Harrison Holloman was Samuel H. Holloman. Samuel's 2nd wife was Mary C. Nichols, my gg-grandaunt. This was Mary's 3rd marriage. Her first two marriages were to 1) Hezekiah Jenkins in Hertford Co., NC, and 2) Warren A. Holloman in Hertford Co., NC. After Warren's death in Hertford Co. within a year of their marriage, she moved to KY (where sisters were living) and m. Samuel H. Holloman in Crittenden Co., KY 12 July 1849.
