I am sorry to here of Mr.Baker's death.  I am know this is a true loss to family, and indeed a loss to those of us who have found our family connections do to Neil Baker's energy and dedication to Bertie County, its history and its people. Neil was a member of  Capeharts Baptist Church and retired from RJ Reynolds as a LAD Manager. He  enjoyed genealogy and was very knowledgeable in it. Graveside funeral  services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March, 20, 2009 at Capeharts  Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jake Dunlow and Rev. David Baker  officiating. He is survived by his wife, Francis Spruill Baker of Windsor;  one daughter, Shannon Baker of Greenville; one son Neil Baker, Jr., of  Windsor; one sister, Carol B. Penn of Williamston; and three  grandchildren, Tyler Neil Baker, Lauren Faith-Rae Baker and Caleb Lee.    The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday,    March 19, 2009 at Walker Funeral Home and at other times from the home.  Memorial gifts may be made to Capeharts Baptist Church, c/o Dennis Brooks,  1738 US Highway 17 N, Merry Hill, NC 27957 or Askewville EMS, P.
