    1. [NCBERTIE] How to post a Bertie Co. Will?

    3. I have photos of 4 pages of?the?will of Thomas Cotten/Cotton from Hertford County that is in?a Private Manuscript Collection in the NC State Archives in Raleigh. I have transcribed the will and also abstracted?it for?the genealogical information. The will was written on Aug 18, 1787. (In 1759 parts of Bertie County, Chowan County, and Northampton County were combined to form Hertford County, and Bertie was reduced to its present size.) Can I post this will to the Bertie County list? If yes, who do I send it to, and do I send the photos as jpeg or should I send?the photos imbedded in a .doc file or how?     3. Hi Elaine, It would be wonderful if you could also post Thomas Cotten's will to the Hertford County Archives, since he was from Hertford Co. Guy Potts is in charge of the Hertford Co. Archives, so send the transcribed will to him at egpotts@gmail.com. He can also upload .jpeg photos. If you'd like to add photos to the Hertford County website at any time, just send them to me.
