Hey, I've always been a subscriber via the digest mode, and have never found the email traffic from the list to be a problem. Today, however, we have received at least five separate digests, despite the fact that there are not enough new posts to account for more than one. The problem seems to be that digest subscribers, instead of following the instruction to send posts as new emails to ncbertie@rootweb.com, are using Reply. Every time they do that, the entire contents of the previous digest are included in their post. Since the sending of a new digest is triggered by the number of lines that have accumulated since the last digest, this use of Reply creates multiple digests daily with the same messages repeated over and over and over. The solution is simple. If you subscribe to the digest mode, please DO NOT USE REPLY when you post, as it just clutters up everyone's mailboxes. If you want to quote an individual post while replying to it, but received it in the digest, please delete everything in the digest except that one post before you hit the send button. Thanks, Paul
