    3. Hi Bertie County-I was born in Bertie County and I have subscribed to your list for a long time now, but have never sent in any names. The discussions on the list are extremely interesting and informational. I have begun to work on my genealogy and will submit a request. Does anyone have any information on the Jernigans?? George and Lodema were my grandparents. They had 14 children and lived on a farm there.
