She was a daughter of Reubin Stallings. Her brother Moses was married to Nancy Jenkins, possible sister of Turner Carter's wife, Elitha. Turner Carter's 2nd wife Penelope was a niece of Happy. I recall seeing info on an Elisha Averitt Rhodes. It seems like he was a person of some importance. I think there is a bio of him on the Bertie County web site.
