This family married into the Jilcott, Bryant and other families from Roxobel NC. George Hampton Barnes was my great grandfather and I am working backward through the Barnes family. I am looking for records directly related to the aforementioned Barnes and Judith Acree. I have found Richard and R H Barnes with Richard Higgs Barnes and Georgeanna (Georgianna) Cox. I would like to continue my research. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, as I now live in England. I hope it is not improper to contact you directly, being new to ancestry research. 1. [NCBERTIE] Great Idea
    2. Mmaker52
    3. Great idea from Suzan.....if there are any of you using Facebook you might post a note on there mentioning Facebook being used for Genealogy by creating a Facebook page for a specific Surname and then inviting all family to post their material and photos there. This may come in very handy for each of you to keep up with folks researching the same families Thanks for this great idea Suzan Claudia Williams CC Bertie County
