On this same day Hatton Fleetwood also sold his seventh part of this same plantation to David Redditt for Ond hundred and forty dollars. This plantation being the plantation his father the late Hardy Fleetwood resided ,the same having been conveyed to Wm. fleetwood by Thomas Pollok as per deed bearing date the seventh day of August One thousand seven hundred & thirty two. This plantation is bounded on the East by Briary Branch which empties itself into Salmon Creek, on the Souch by the lands of Wm. Lother and on the West & North by Betsy Oxley and Sally Maxwells lands. Now, what I need to know is does any one know where this plantation in located today in Bertie Co. Thanks for all your work transcribing the 1920 census. Today I found my mother and her parents and grandparents, as well as a number of folks I knew when I visited Aulander as a child. I assume that this census, when finished, will be posted on the Bertie website, and if that is the case, I would like to go on record with one small correction. My great-grandmother, Pauline Mitchell, shows up as "Believe" on the transcription below--no great surprise considering the dual demons of microfilm and old handwriting. Ray, it is a winged dragon. The big sheet ( 12 x 15 ) has been cut & scalloped by someone either to make it fancy or to make it match a counterpart.
