Dot Sumrell (now deceased) gave me 40 pages of Summerell information. She had gathered part of this from the book The Families Somerville, Somervaill, Summerall, Summerell, Sumrall compiled by James H. Hines address: 6010 Central Falls Drive Houston, TX 77041. I do not know if this book is available today. Dot also did some abstracts on deeds in Pitt regarding the Sumrells. Henry is mentioned in one of them in 1801, shown as living in Edgecombe. I know the family was in Greene county as well as Edcombe. I don't know if what I have will be of help.
