Hello, I enjoyed read your news about Avery County Festival. Sorry I did not go - I had to go to my niece s wedding. please let me know early for next year my family lives in Lexington, N.C. My grandpa Carmeon Hughes lived in Newland and he passed away last year (he was 95) but My grandma Harriet Hughes still lives in Newland. My father William Kane Lusk and Irene Hughes Lusk grew up in Avery County. That s why I signed up Avery county to try to get information on my parents family in Avery County. I would love to go to Avery County Festival next year and please let me know ahead of time so I can let my 9 siblings know about Avery County - they live in Piedmont area. I live in Morganton, N.C.
