Weird! I had just answered a question on his wife: Frances Maria Carpenter b Jan. 26, 1771 m. William "Billy" Davis in 1785. There ages are 30 years apart. He had been married before and had three daughters. He left his wife for unfaithfulness while he was fighting in the Revolution and took up with Frankie Carpenter. Jacob died Feb. 7, 1873 in Sweetwater Creek, Graham Cty, NC and was married to a Susanna who died there in Aug. 1895.
