NC Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Avery/453 Surname: Taylor, Wiseman ------------------------- Hi Leslie: Thank you for your message. I have not received this information before. Thanks again. Something I doesn't understand is the date that you have on Hugh Taylor. I have him down as being borne in 1796. You have him born in 1824 or something to that effect. Hugh had a illegimate son in 1832. I hardly think that he could have fathered a son at the age of 1832. What do you think about that. I am very interested in why the Taylor brothers left their father in South Carolina. According to Cozie Taylor, Martin Dooley Taylor was a very good fininical condition. Some writings of Cozie's stated that Martin Dooley Taylor had a large plantation with many slaves. Why would someone leave all of that and start out on their own? Do you have any thoughts on that? Or could it be as James and Hugh didn't get along; that may be the same situation with their father. Thanks for your help, Donna C.(WV)
